Last week, I found myself stuck at home due to COVID-19, and honestly, I was feeling under the weather. This week, I've been bustling around, trying to catch up on all my usual tasks. It's unbelievable how quickly this week flew by! I'm even starting to feel like 2024 is speeding past us faster than 2023 did, which is quite surprising.
Since I moved, I've ended up living closer to my sister. It's funny, though, because despite the proximity, we haven't managed to see each other much lately. Between our busy schedules and dealing with various illnesses, time just seems to slip away.
I've always found it amusing when people talk about being busy because, let's face it, it seems like everyone is busy these days. However, I've come to firmly believe that if something truly matters to you, you'll make time for it. For me, spending quality time with my sister, even if it's just grabbing a quick coffee, should be a top priority.
While I'm not the biggest fan of Stephen Covey, his words about prioritization really resonate with me: "The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities." It's a valuable reminder to focus on what truly matters.
As we approach Lunar New Year and usher in the Year of the Dragon, I find myself contemplating how to better organize my life and ensure I make time for the things that hold significance to me. Being born in the Year of the Dragon myself, I'm determined to prioritize scheduling my activities in a way that aligns with my values and allows me to cherish what truly matters.
